Kat is the Saxophone player for Alpha Q. She holds a Bachelor Degree in Saxophone Performance from the University of South Florida. Her music career started in High school when she began competing in statewide Solo and Ensemble competitions. Her achievements in high school earned her several scholarships and enabled her to also study Music Composition, Music Education and Jazz. After graduating from the University of South Florida in 2010, Katherine worked and preformed in New York City from 2010 to 2012. While in New York City she collaborated with several musicians from the local music scene. During this time she also worked with and was mentored by several musicians, producers and booking agents in songwriting and performance, along with playing studio levels. In 2013, Katherine moved back to her home town of Miami where she is a proffessional studo musician. She has performed in many popular Jazz local venues such as   "The Fish House" , Bayside Park, and several local live music venues with Alpha Q including Tobacco Road. Once she heard the variety of music Alpha Q created along with the great energy the band brought, she was thrilled to become part of it. She is also part of the group "2Dope Girls" with Alpha Q singer Cha Cha.
